Keitai
Yes! Cell phone successfully obtained. We went to Shinjuku today with Jeff’s friend Yoko and tried various AU shops until we found one with a guy willing to give us the student discounts. I don’t think he was too bright; he had to call someone to figure out the kanji in the kan’s address. So now I’ve got a year plan instead of a prepaid phone. It’s pretty awesome. The ¥1 phone I picked up blows away the phone I paid money for in the States. At the same time, phone plans are surprisingly expensive here. With the discount, it’ll be like ¥3750 a month for 150 free minutes and ¥15 a minute after that. However, text messages are really cheap and far more popular here, so I’ll mostly be doing that.
We also discovered that the Citibank in Shinjuku has 24-hour ATMs that work with American cards. Nice.

Did you seen the ケイタイ with the touch screen and finger print scanner? Damn that was awesome. You going to post any pictures?
No, but we saw some pretty small ones. We were mostly looking with the intent to buy from the first place so we didn’t bother with that. Pics coming soon.
