For Sale: Zombie Costume
Halloween is in less than 3 weeks! Have you got a costume yet?
Last year I made my own zombie costume. I thought it came out really well, so rather than just throw it away, why not let someone else have it?
The Costume
I went for the look of a businessman who was zombified by some sort of infection. There’s a big bloody hole on the right shoulder where he was presumably bitten by the zombie that turned him. You could also go as the raised-from-the-dead type of zombie, though: many men are buried in suits, so this costume is versatile in that regard.
All of the clothing (except the shoes) has been lovingly tattered, torn, dirtied, and bloodied by yours truly. Just put it and the makeup on and you’re ready to start eating brains.
About the shoes: I went to a party in a no-shoes home, so I didn’t bother messing them up to the same extent I did the rest. If you want to complete the look with shoes, I recommend you scuff up the left shoe and leave the right one completely off.

Recommendations
- Use the liquid latex and fake blood to make a bite wound on the shoulder.
- Get an old, non-working PDA or Bluetooth headset and bust it up a bit. Make zombie phone calls consisting only of the word “brains”.
- Learn the Thriller dance at Thrill the World.
Sizing
It’ll fit most men. All of the clothing was actually too big for me, but it worked out fine as a one-night costume. If anything, I think the ill-fittingness added to the effect. Wouldn’t recommend wearing this daily.
The suit jacket is about a 42L. I wear a 40L and it was a little roomy, but looked fine.
The pants are about a 34" waist, but have buttons to adjust them to be smaller. I wear a 31" and was able to keep them up fine. The left leg is 34", and the right has been reduced to about 24".
The shirt is a 16 ½, 35-36 Tall. It was massive on me, but looked great for a zombie.
The belt is 36". The shoes claim to be a size 9, but I can’t believe it, because I wear a 10 and if anything they’re big on me.
The makeup kit is more than you’ll need. I bought two kits and only used about 2/3 of one.
